President
Ryan Ferguson
Years Curled: 15
Ryan is the league organizer for both the Tuesday Night Team Entry League and the Doubles League. He enjoys both the competitive and social aspect of curling. Ryan hopes to continue the growth of the Sydney Curling Club by hosting more bonspiels and events at the club. Off the ice he enjoys reading and spending time with family & friends.

Vice President
Ian MacInnis
Years Curled: 4
Ian decided to join curling after Sydney hosted the 2019 Scotties. He enjoys the social, fun and competitive part of the sport. He is a 3 time MacLeod Lorway Thursday night curling champion. During the summer Ian participates in sailboat racing and is part of the successful Kookaloo Sailing team.

Treasurer
Michael Garden
Years Curled: 27
This is Mike's fourth and final year on the board as the club treasurer. Originally from Manitoba and have curled most of his life, he is a former Westman Curling Super League Champion, and has been in multiple Manitoba Club Championship Provincials. He has 2 awesome kids that keep him away from the rink more than he would like but he's hoping he can get the oldest to throw her first rocks this year!

Thomas Xidos
Years Curled: 4
This will be Thomas' 3rd year on the board and he is transitioning from Ice Director to Treasurer. He enjoys both the competitive and fun sides of curling! Often you will find he hanging out after his games enjoying a cold Breton with his team, competitors and new friends from the club. His long term goal is to make a Brier final but he's quite a ways away from that!

Secretary
Ken MacLeod
Years Curled: 4.5
Ken is returning for his second year as the board secretary. He is happy to volunteer and simply just enjoys being a part of such a wonderful club. On the ice, he finds he is more drawn to the competitive aspects of the game. During the summer, Ken is the skipper of the highly successful Kookaloo Sailing Team! :)

Match Director
Brittni DeLorenzo
Years Curled: 2
Brittni started curling in the 2021-2022 season. It is her first year on the board. Her passion for hockey and ice making that she learned from her father growing up drew her to another on ice sport. After being exposed to curling, she immediately fell in love with it. You will see Brittni at the club almost everyday as she played in most of the leagues last year. She is also a certified assistant ice technician and member of the ice crew. Although Brittni is known for her competitive nature, she enjoys the social aspect of curling even more. Brittni looks forward to learning the duties and nuances of her new roles as match director and contributing to an already successful curling club.

Junior Director
Wes Stanford
Years Curled: 2
Currently the Golf Professional at The Lakes Resort. Wes moved his family here in 2021 and joined the Sydney Curling Club months later. Wes is currently a Guinness World Record Holder! He enjoys playing all types of sports and spending time with his family! Wes loves the Jay's, Leafs, food and Traveling.

Publicity Director
Genevieve Andrea
Years Curled: 3
Genevieve started curling in the 2020-2021 season and this is her second year on the Board of Directors. She is also a volunteer bartender and the 2021-2022 Bartender of the Year! Off the ice, she can often be found with the Colbourne Cares Community Food Truck. Genevieve is looking forward to continue to grow relationships between the club and the local business community this season!

Membership Director
Jill MacIsaac
Years Curled: 5
Jill is 28 years old. This is her second year on the board of directors. She's excited to get started this season. Jill has curled for 5 years. She loved everything about the game. She always watched it on TV but never got the courage to try it out until 2017. In her spare time she works full time & enjoys spending time with family & friends.

Ice Director
Sébastien LeFort
Years Curled: 17
Sebastien began curling when he was 6 and a half, in grade 2. He fell in love with the sport and never wanted to leave! Since the age of 12, he has competed in various provincial tournaments and cash spiels, either in Sydney or elsewhere in the province. If he can play... he will! In fact, he was on the ice for 31 straight days last season! This may or may not have been a mistake... He is happy to be helping out on the board this year and is always available to help out at the club, whether it be on or off the ice!

Tyler MacKeigan
Years Curled: 7
Tyler started curling in 2017 on Monday nights. Over time he progressed to play on Tuesdays and Thursdays either in a lead or 2nd position. Originally from Sydney Mines, he moved to Sydney in 2016 and have been living here ever since. He's a proud owner of two loveable beagles and a sassy tortie cat. Some of his other interests are hiking, music, and figuring out where to travel to next! If you see him at the club, don’t be shy and say hi!

Liz Dieltgens
Years Curled: 4
Liz joined the Sydney Curling Club during the 2019-2020 season and will be curling for her 5th year this season. This is her third year on the Board of Directors. Off the ice, Liz enjoys yoga and spin classes, and going to Friday night Downtown Trivia at SCC.

Entertainment Director
Lisa MacDonald
Years Curled: 4
Lisa lives in Sydney very close to the club with her husband Aaron and 2 dogs, Emery and Kane. She works at TD Canada Trust as a Financial Advisor and joined curling in the 2019-2020 season as a way to stay active during the long winter months. She curled on Monday and Wednesday nights to start and also volunteered as a bartender the past 4 seasons. This is her 5th year curling and she is going to be curling Tuesday and Wednesday nights, playing in both the ladies league and the new doubles league on Wednesday nights. She's been the league organizer for the clubs all female league for the past 2 seasons. This league had not existed in the club in many years and is back this season. She looks forward to a lot of fun and laughs curling with the ladies on Wednesday nights again this year. Lisa joined the board of directors in the 2022-2023 season.

Dave is a retired military officer who recently moved home from Ontario. Dave grew up in Sydney River but had been away for a long time. He now lives in Coxheath.
