NEW
MEMBER: Includes all new adult curlers. Returning curlers must not have held
membership for a minimum of 3 curling seasons to qualify for this rate. Able to sit on Board of Directors and have
full voting rights.
FULL
MEMBER: Curling privileges in all league play. Able to sit on Board of Directors and have
full voting rights.
STUDENT: Any
person having reached the age of 19 years and enrolled full-time in an
accredited post-secondary educational institution.
GOLDEN
AGE: Individuals must have reached their 60th
birthday by December 31st of the previous curling year. Curling restricted to daytime “Golden Age” sessions.
They can vote at any meeting and can hold office.
SENIOR: These
members have the same age requirements as Golden Age curlers. However, there
are no curling time restrictions. They can vote at any meeting and can hold
office.
Junior
(12-20): Must participate in the junior level curling league
Full
Junior: This category allows juniors to play in adult leagues
as well.
First ˝
Year: Includes league curling until the Christmas break
Second ˝
Year: Must be signed up for league play by the end of the New
Year’s Open Bonspiel.
Visiting
Curlers: Registered curlers from out-of-town clubs may spare a maximum
of 3 games at no charge.
Non -
Members: Non – members will be charges $10.00/game for a maximum of 3
games.
Social: Non-curling;
no early discounts; no voting rights
The Sydney
Curling Club is a heated, four sheet
curling facility, centrally located at 619 George Street in Sydney
The Club is dedicated to promoting and developing the sport of curling for the entire community, in a friendly, social atmosphere, and offers a winter pastime that can be enjoyed by the entire family. Not only is curling fun and good exercise, it has a great social atmosphere. Our spacious lounge area is equipped with a large sitting area, big screen TV, fireplace and pool table. Also, our upstairs banquet hall is available to take care of those bigger functions.
Our membership are are proud supporters of the Ann Terry Curl for Cancer, The Special Olympics, the Canadian Council of the Blind, the Whitney Pier Youth Club, and many more worthy organizations.
